I have been reading several blogs recently that relate to a list of UFO's. Sue over at Quilting Chatter is on a mission to eliminate UFO's in her sewing room as is Kate over at Quilting Kate. Yesterday, Linda listed her UFO's, I think in an attempt to stop herself from starting something new. Now we all have UFO's and if we don't, we have not been quilting that long. Right now, I am handquilting on the pink and brown and also working on the hand applique blocks for the Masterpiece quilt. I recently made a miniature and it is finished...feels good! I also started another wall hanging of an American flag for Kyle's room. It is my July "quick fix". I just got the Civil War Diary Quilt book and have been contemplating making that. I would be almost as big a job as a Dear Jane. Still thinking on that one. I REALLY want to do a Leanne's House quilt pattern in the near future, or at least something along those lines. I sat back while reading Linda's blog and thought of all of my own UFO's. Maybe if I list them out and SEE them, the desire to start something new will go away. Here they are in no particular order.
This is a picture of a quilt that I have been collecting 30's repos for. I have not started it so I could actually get away with not listing it, but I have money invested in it so I need to.
This is Kyle's teacher's quilt. It makes me dizzy and I am hoping it will look better when it is done. It is a charm quilt and Kyle will tie it. It HAS to get done SOON!
Here is a Hidden Star that I started when my 25 year old was 16. It was to fit his super single waterbed. I pulled this out to photograph and then set it next to my machine. I think I will work on this next. It is wonderful fabrics. (forgive my toes)
This is my Underground Railroad Sampler. It is in the applique border stage. Still needs 1/4 of the vine and all the flowers and leaves. I LOVE this quilt.
This is one of 4 blocks (still not on background) that will make up the wallhanging in my bedroom to match the pink and brown quilt. No rush there since the pink and brown is no where near done.

Hmmm now here I was thinking that as you're so organised that you wouldn't have many ufo's.... A suggestion for the one you don't like, colours all wrong. Give it away, if you don't like it you'll probably never finish it.
I absoloutely love your underground Railroad quilt. Glad I'm in good ufo company....lol...
All your quilt are wonderful (no matter if they are UFO)... but my eyes are captured by your nephews.
They are so cute! They are BELLISSIMI!
ciao ciao
I really enjoyed the mini quilt show :) Have to agree with Linda that if you don't like the Christmas mystery give it away.
I'm sure there is someone out there who would love it.
Of all the projects you've shown the Underground Railroad is the one that deserves to be first in line for finishing.
It's simply beautiful.

You are funny! Sounds like us and our numerous "house projects". We start a new one before we have the old ones completely finished. Would love to make a concentrated effort to get them finished up one by one!! I actually like your New Years Eve mystery quilt!
Great fun scrolling down your UFO´s you will finish the some day.
Wow, you are going to be busy finishing up these projects.
Some very nice UFOs you have there. I love the little 6" stars. Like you, not so keen on the mystery- give it away is good advice.
I think I will never live long enough to finish my UFO pile. To say nothing of all the 'to do one day' ideas in my folder.
Oh wow, your quilts are so pretty! I have a grandmother's flower garden languishing in my hope chest, which is less than half quilted, and a charm quilt that needs backing, batting, and quilting. I'm not much of a quilter, but I do want to finish these two quilts! Someday!
Thanks for stopping by my blog!
Wow! I need to do that with my projects. Then I'll never forget what I need to be working on next. I've listed them in my queue, but pictures are much better...smile
I liked Linda's idea of listing the UFO's and the picking one from a hat and working on it until finished. Maybe I should do what you have done as well - take pictures of them all and give my head a shake - LOL. I am also wishing I could do a Leannes House quilt. I just love seeing all the pictures of them on the blogs. I am busy with a Dear Jane - but the other quilt is The Slyvia's Bridal Sampler. I love that one as well.
Maybe it is time for me to do the same. I have finished a few things lately, which was a good feeling, but there are plenty more where they came from! I have started the CWDiary too, but it is slow going.
Congratulations on only 10 UFO's. And you have a variety of stages of completion to fit any mood that strikes.
What's your system of stashing and storing UFO's? And are they UFO's if you haven't cut (started) them yet?
