(Andrew with his mom, and niece and nephew, Christmas 07)
My nephew Andrew (my sister's son) had an accident yesterday while rock climbing in Oregon State. Please say prayers for him. He fell 20 feet, has a badly broken leg and will have surgery this afternoon. It took rescue workers 2 1/2 hours to get him out of the canyon. He just graduated from Southern Illinois University with a business degree and is moving to Minnesota to start a new job next week. This was a last vacation for him before beginning his career. It will be a long process of healing, but he is alive!!!! Andrew is 22...2 weeks younger than Kyle and they grew up together. I have SO many pictures of those 2 boys together at birthdays they celebrated together and lots of wonderful memories. They are still close, and Andrew has such a love for Kyle and Kyle has such an admiration of Andrew.
This picture is from the website of the actual place where he fell. You can see the news report here. Thank You for your prayers. We want him home and safe!

Oh, Bren! What an awful break! I winced when I saw that he had most likely fallen directly on his leg; a break like that has to hurt so bad. Praying that he has a quick and complete recovery.
Oh how aweful! Praise to God that he is alive! I will pray for Andrew right now!
:( poor guy, prayers for sure. xoxo
I have asked for God's healing and a complete recovery.
When I first started reading, I gasped. I am so thankful that it wasn't worse. I pray that he will be able to accept his job and start later.

Wow! Praise God that Andrew is alive right now! I will be adding Andrew to my prayer list, Bren. I hope your mouth is feeling better, too!:)
What a horrific experience.I'll pray he heals faster than expected.
I am certainly praying! Praise God he is alive! Looking at that Canyon, I'd say it is a miracle!

I am praying for your nephew. Oh, it sounds horrible.
I wanted to also let you know that I am praying for Charlotte. I have committed to praying for her everytime I drive by a home decorated for Halloween. And since I am out every day with some sort of errand or activity, that's several times each day as I drive. In this way, I feel I can take something that Satan wants to scare Charlotte with and turn it around to God's glory and Charlotte's healing.
Love in Christ! Karen T.
