Emerson

Emerson came to spend the day with Grandma. I met her in the church parking lot and she came to Sunday service with me. She was a good girl...quiet and very lady like, until Pastor started praying and then she had LOTS to say...loudly! She was happy about it all though, so it was fine. She came home with us and took a nice loooong nap. She woke up very happy!!
A diaper change ended up with bloomers on her head! After a midday bottle she was ready to play. Grandma sat to do some hand quilting. Emerson LOVES quilting!
"Who me???"

"YES! YOU!!"She does touch things very softly. Not at all rough. Such a sweet girl!Time for a little snack.Great pincher grip!Ok, so we need to work on it a little!Time for some floor action. Emerson no longer stays put! She is ready to GO GO GO! And she did...Zach would lay across areas to block her....Did not work! After chasing her down every few minutes for an hour or so, it was bath time. She got her soap and headed to the kitchen!Emerson LOVED her bath. She was very upset when she had to get out. The goose-bumps were a sure sign it was time!A bedtime meal of fruit and cereal and a bottle and she was ready for bed.She plays with her ear when she is tired...although she is cutting teeth and may have an ear thing going on. Either way she was very tired!!!That was the only time she fussed ALL day!!! The time lapse between the food and the bottle was not appreciated by my granddaughter.
Emerson was sound asleep before the sun was down! She woke this morning softly singing her own little song into the monitor. What an incredible blessing she is! Time for me to go sing back!!

Oh, what a precious time this is. Looks like Emerson loves her Grandma, too. I once remarked to my daughter while holding one of her babies that there was no where else on earth I'd reather be and nothing in the world I would rather be doing. Time passes so quickly as you can see with TJ. Enjoy these special times with them while they are wee ones. I don't mean that I don't enjoy my grandchildren now that they are older but it is different at different ages and we'll never have the time when they were small back again. Thnaks for sharing it with us.

What a beautiful granddaughter!! They are such a blessing...I only have one, but another on the way. They live about 150 miles from me so don't see them often. But I get to take care of him in August for a few days! Going over and get my gramma fix! YEAH!!!! I love your blog and your quilting! Come visit me too!

Bren, I love that photo of you and Emerson! That pincher grip is a very impportant skill...you have to be able to hold on to that needle to quilt!

What a little doll! It is so wonderful to be able to spend time with grandchildren. We just visited our 6 month old GD for the first time and hated to leave. Boo Hoo! They are such a blessing.

She just gets cuter and cuter. All four of mine played with their right ear when they were tired. I wonder why that is?

Happy to "meet" you too, Bren! This blogging is so fun and so great to feel like you have new friends. You can never have too many friends!! I visited a fabric store and got some country blues and yellows for a bag for my stepdaughter....loved the blue so much, got extra for a big shirt for me!!! No surprise there! You know, one of those that jumps out at you and says, "take me home."
Have a great day!

If you think about it...You have become busy being a grandma and so the attention can easily fade from your goal. Your right though. I am referring to the other diet blog

It's been forever since I've been by to visit. I caught up on what's been happening with you and want to congratulate you on your 30th anniversary and your vow renewal! That's just awesome! The pictures are beautiful and so was the bride! :o)

It was good to visit you again! Hopefully, I'll be by more often. Take care and God bless you!!
