Baby and Baseball

TJ and Emerson came to Grandma's for the day. That is the last you will see of TJ....he was so busy having fun with Lego's, running in the sprinkler, eating ice cream, and playing with the kids, that any pics I got of him were a blur.

Emerson on the other hand, had no choice! Locked in her highchair, she was at my camera's mercy! She loved her Spaghetti dinner! "Hey, Emerson....Show everyone your new teeth!!!"No....smile BIG!""We have all seen those before! Show us your NEW ones!!""....a little bigger...come on....." "THERE THEY ARE!!!!!!""Such a pretty smile!!!!""Enough, Grandma!"The plan was to keep both kids for the day and drop Emerson at home in the evening on our way to the Softball game, taking TJ with us. It was hot and I was afraid it would be too much for her. Well, my son, Bud, ended up at immediate care with intense stomach pain. They sent him to the ER where he had tests. Before we left for the game we knew the diagnosis, but they were still at the hospital. He had an inflammation where the esophagus attaches to the stomach. Meds and proper eating (it is hard to eat at the right times with his work schedule) were prescribed. We took Emerson to the game with us too, and God was so good, in that, the weather all of a sudden got nice and breezy and even cool.TJ, Charlotte, and Zach went to the park just next to the field. It is nice and within shouting distance! Emerson played with her toys and made the rounds....her biggest fan, Mechelle was there. Pastor Paul and Sweetheart waiting for the game to start....Pastor Paul got hit in the head with a ball, but was ok. Sweetheart hit a double, right off the bat (no pun intended).Kyle did great too and played catcher. We won the first game, which meant we played a second (which we lost). Bud and Rachel showed up for that one and it was a nice family event!!! Emerson wanted to play softball too, but will have to wait a few years!!!!Have a blessed day!!!!!

Aw, Emerson is just a doll. She is growing so much. I will have my Jak for three or four days while Mom and Dad are out of town. This is my third time to keep him for a long weekend. Now let me tell ya, Gram gets pretty wore out. He is almost walking. He is allllll boy...lol. He gets into everything. He is here so much it is like his second home. He knows the rules but smiles at me and reaches for whatever he isn't suppose to touch. He is a big con artist and tries to hug and kiss his way out of his mischievous situations. It makes it hard to discipline him. It is hard not to laugh at him. But he does have to mind.........! Wow, I didn't mean to ramble on but you know how it is when you start talking about the granbabies. Anywho, yours are both adorable. Glad you get to see them as much as you do. It is such a blessing to be close to a grandchild. Now this could have been a post on my blog it is so long. Have a great and blessed rest of week and weekend. Karen
