Like A Sore Thumb

Can you guess which one just doesn't belong here??? (I am hearing that Sesame Street song) That one fabric just sticks out like a sore thumb. It had to be replaced. Now this one looks much better, but still, it kinda sticks out....not so much in person. Not quite sure if I will leave it there.Sorry for the dark pics....it is stormy and dark here.
I will be heading out of town early Monday morning. My mom and I are going on our yearly jaunt. Last year, we went 2 hours west to Galena. This year we are going 4 hours south to......

.....Amish Country!!!!

We have been to Arthur and Arcola before, but only for an afternoon. We will have a day and a half to explore this unique town. There are 3 quilt shops at my disposal!!! Of course, they do not have websites, but if you click here, you can read about them. Another shop, The Wood Loft, has all hand stitched Amish quilts on display and for sale. Click on the link to see. I am looking forward to a nice, peaceful trip to refresh myself before school starts on Sept. 7th.

Have a blessed Thursday and I will check in before I head out of town!!!

Bren, your second choice for 'the sore thumb' looks ok to me. These are all colors that I love. I have always liked dark and earthy fabrics. Your trip sounds wonderful. Kevin and I were just discussing making a day trip to Jameport some time this fall. Jamesport is an Amish community about 100 miles east of us. I hope it works out, because they have several quilt stores. Well, we have thunder rumbling and it looks like some nasty storms coming in again, so I need to get off the computer. It has rained all week here. I hope you have a good night. Winona

Oh, I wanna go!!! :) I also like the second pic, I think it blends nicely. I agree, in the first pic, that fabric does stick out. I am sure the finished product will be beautiful, you always work wonders :)

I don´t think that the piece sticks out on the second picture.
