Today is my mom's birthday! She will have a wonderful day, starting with breakfast and shopping with her best friend! My sister is making dinner and the kids and I will go over this afternoon. Rachel and TJ will come with. What could be better than to surround yourself with family and friends on your birthday? My mom has always made birthdays special for me, my sister and her own sister.
Here are a few pictures of my mom over the years... This is grade school...cool hair! I think her hair was straight, so the curls were done.

It has always hung in my parents home, and for the last several years has hung in my home. It is my favorite picture of my mom. When I revisit childhood memories, this is what she looks like. Ok, so the pose is hokey. It was the 60's!!

My mom is just a few years younger than your mom, and yes I think they did that with the hair thing back then. Thank you for sharing the pictures I like looking at others photos.

Happy Birthday Mom! You and your mother look like twins! When strangers tell me and my mom how much we look like each other I wonder if she looks like she is in her 50s or if I look like I'm in my 70s! LOL! Anyway, you both look great!

Oh, your Mom looks so sweet and fun. Happy Birthday, Mom! --And yes, my baby pix show me with the kewpie roll on top of my head. And yes, I did my little girls in kewpie rolls also--the younger one born in 1969. Soon the clips and elastic headbands became popular.
