Guess who Looooves the Christmas tree???? You can tell by looking at the bottom of the tree, she thinks it is her new toy. Much training to be done on this dog...she is rebellious!!!
I am starting to panic since Christmas is OFFICIALLY less than a month away! I have 1 gift bought...I had 2, but then decided to give Charlotte her jumper for portraits being taken this week. I went backwards on my shopping! I have at least 6 gifts to make. Speaking of making gifts, I thought of making myself one...doesn't this fabric whisper "holiday apron"?? Ok, I will concentrate on others right now. Yesterday was a productive day, even though I was home from church with a tummy bug...Zach had it the weekend before. It was not enough to keep you down, but just enough to make you feel like you wanted to be. I had a wonderful phone call that really made my day!! I finished part 2 of the tutorial and posted it this morning. (You can find all the steps under the label "tutorial" on my side bar for future reference) I make a crock pot meal on Sundays in case I decide to go to evening service. This week I made a pot roast, carrots, potatoes, gravy (I DO make a great homemade gravy...no package or jar) a loaf of homemade bread, and chocolate chip cookies for dessert (or "zert" as Zachary says). Look at that shiny stove....I will share it tomorrow for Tackle It Tuesday!
Sweet Hubby and Zachary put up the lights and decorations outside. Zach is a Daddy's boy. Our older boys never really took a huge interest in the same things Daddy did, except sports. Bud is more into working with cars than wood, and Kyle is not into any of it...he is more a movie buff. They would help when asked and not complain, but Zachary never needs to be asked...he is always right there when a tool is brought out, or a ladder set up. Dad even built him his own workbench and gave him a set of "real" tools, some scraps of wood and hardware. He loves it!So my Christmas panic has set in....this is a good thing. It motivates me to get going on my gifts that need to be mailed out. I think I will make my lists this morning and spend my day multi tasking between the sewing machine and home school. It is a test day in math, so no "teaching" on my part. Perfect day to get going on these gifts, so I will!!

The roast and baking look delicious and I definitely hear apron...definitely! But maybe after the other gifts... :) Zach looks so cute helping his Dad.
You still have ample time Bren, fear not!
Your tree is beautiful! Yes that fabric does scream "apron". We haven't put our tree up yet, maybe this weekend. The bread and cookies look wonderful too! Great post!
LOL, now I see what chaos Carly has caused. I never had problems with dogs getting into the Christmas tree but one time our cat did. It was funny though. Here I was panicking because I have 3 more gifts left to buy. HA! I feel better now. (grin)
LOL -- Yep, that's an apron!
You know; Panic, like Guilt, works wonders for getting a fire lit under our bustles..... we're suddenly at <30 days!!!
Good Morning!
I just recently found your blog and what a joy it has been to read!
Just wanted to wish you a blessed Monday!
I just started shopping and am doing the bulk of it online so I can avoid the stores and the traffic, and the time I save is worth it. Your tree looks so pretty.
Everything looks Beautiful and yummy.
I really like the fabric.
Hope you feel better.
Blessins', Lib
It is so nice to see father and son "work" together.

I don't think the fabric whispers apron - I think it says it out loud! I can just picture it. The photos of your lunch and dessert made me hungry!
Beautiful dog! I don't have one decoration up yet LOL.
Is there anyone who isn't in Christmas panic mode?
Your tree looks lovely. The baking is making my mouth water as usual.
The fabric will be perfect for a holiday apron.
