Two posts in one day! Hmmmm. It is one of two things. I am so excited about the upcoming events and have wonderful things to share, or I am so completely exhausted from my day and need a break! Well, they are both right!! I spent my morning planning out my Thanksgiving menu. I did not post my menu plan, but it is in place. My Thanksgiving menu is as follows:
*Turkey (22 lb plus a turkey breast)
Stuffing (my mom makes the best!)
*Mashed Potatoes
Sweet Potatoes
Gravy
*Dinner Rolls
*Corn
*Baked Beans
*Macaroni and Cheese
*Fruit Salad
*Spinach Dip and Hawaiian Bread
*Cranberries
Broccoli Casserole
Cottage Cheese
Pumpkin Pies
*Raisin Pie
Apple Pie
Cherry Pie
*Spice Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting (from scratch)
Everything with an asterisk is made by me. Everything else is either brought by someone else, or made here by someone else. I did my grocery shopping for both Thanksgiving and my weekly shopping today. Thankfully, Charlotte and Zach stayed at Rachel's house. My mom and Kyle came with me to help. My mom pays for most of the Thanksgiving dinner so I was easily able to stay under my budget for the week.
I got the greatest package in the mail!!! Cheryl (Coppers Wife) sent me a huge piece of my favorite fall fabric and 3 beautiful dishcloths she knit. One is fall colors, which I will use on Thanksgiving and the other 2 are Christmas colors. I was so touched by the gifts and note she sent me. Thank you so much Cher!! You and your family are such a blessing to so many..JPG)
I plan to make an apron with the fall fabric to match my table topper and napkins. MAYBE I can get it done for Thursday. Now that I did this apron pattern once, it would go quicker the second time...we'll see. Speaking of the table topper, here is a peek at it in several places...which do you like best?.JPG)
Another thing I have done is to start a change jar. I put all my coins in this jar. My goal...A Kitchenaide. That is alot of coins!!!!

You will be amazed at how much money you can save with your change jar. I do that all of the time. I once saved enough to pay for my new tile on the backsplash in my kitchen when we remodeled it. I was even able to go with my first choice which was the more expensive one.
Have a HAPPY Thanksgiving!!!!
Well done on the shopping Bren. My gosh that's a huge menu, hmm I'll have the fruit salad and cheese thanks....
Your table topper looks lovely in all three places, I think maybe you need to make two more *s*
It may be a lot of pennies -- but a kitchenaide is WONDERFUL if you are doing a lot of baking. You will love it when you get it and, you will be surprised by how quickly your change jar fills. (plus, look for good sales -- there are some good ones this time of year)
I looked and looked at your table topper photos - I liked all three. If I had to pick a favorite I would say it is the topper with the basket of fruit on it. Good luck getting that apron finished in time to wear on Thursday!
I love your table topper under those beautiful flowers...but then it looks nice under the pink bowl..
I wish you Happy Thanksgiving. We dont havt it, so I dont really know much about it except it seems really important to you, so enjoy.
Time spent with family is always well spent!
Bren, i love how u organise, wish i had ur energy!!! The table topper looks great in all 3 photos (id go with Lindas suggestion and make 2 more lol)........I hope u and ur family have a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner, it sure sounds yummy!!!
I like it best under the coffee table. Good job on the shopping! The change will add up before you know it!
The table topper looks beautiful in all 3 places. Wow! You are getting good at this frugal shopping. Keep it up and you will have a KitchenAid in no time. You will love it. I got one for Christmas several years ago and I love it. Mine is the one where the bowl hooks onto arms that hold it in place. All my bread is mixed and kneaded by my trusty Kitchenaid mixer!
Hope you have a blessed Thanksgiving :) HUGS.
That's it - we're coming to your house for Thanksgiving Dinner. LOL! Yummy menu!
Love your tabletopper - be careful those toppers can become very addictive. Ask me how I know! LOL
Happy Thanksgiving!
Good job on the shopping and staying on your list!!!! Your change jar will grow like you won't believe--I've managed to save quite a bit that way!!! Love your table topper! Happy Thanksgiving!
What a terrific job you're doing! You'll have that jar filled in no time, and the kitchenaide will be well worth it. Have a blessed Thanksgiving!
What a feast you are planning! The menu sounds delicious - oh for a slice of pie.
I hope your jar will be full in next to no time. I wonder which colour you will choose?
The table topper will look lovely wherever you decide to put it.
Your Thanksgiving will be happy, serene and wonderfull.
ciao ciao
I think your table topper just looks great, doesn´t matter where it is. It seems that there will be enough to eat on Thanksgiving, I would like a slice of the Turkey breast please :)
