Emerson Avery made her entrance into the world at 5:30 central time. She weighed 8 pounds 7 ounces and I am guessing 20-21 inches long (they had not measured yet). She is beautiful and her head was quite little!!!
I was there at her birth and she came into this world FAST!!! Rachel went from 3 to complete in 1/2 hour! Her little face was very bruised (from her rocket fast entry) and she looked quite purple, but her body was very pink...an apgar score of 9.9!! They only give a 10 to the doctors wives! You can see in this picture with Great Grandma.
Within 2 hours only her cheeks look bruised. Rachel did GREAT!!! She only had pain for 3 1/2 hours, though it was bad pain! Both Mommy and Baby are doing GREAT!!!! Daddy is doing good too!!!
This is what she looked like just before I left the hospital. Perfect, pink and pretty!!!! Oh, and she has a little dimple in her chin!
Thank you all for your prayers. I would have updated sooner but when Bud texted "Come up here" I rushed to the hospital!! I just got home a while ago. Now I must go spend some time with TJ and the kids before hitting the hay!!! I will share more pics soon!!!

She is a doll. So cute and sweet. Rachel looks good and so does grandma and great grandma. I know you all are very excited. I only have 7 weeks left and Zoey will join us. Seeing many playtimes with our granddaughters together.
