Take Me Out To The Ball Game!

It has been a busy couple of days already! Monday night we had our Women's potluck celebrating the end of a 50 Chapter Bible Study. Little Emerson came with. Miss Mechelle just loves Emerson and would hardly let her go. That was just fine with Emerson! We had a wonderful (and late) night of food, music, fellowship, and prayer. Now we are taking the summer off of Monday nights, but will be holding a "Titus Tea" the first Saturday of every month, June-September. We will be studying the book Becoming a Titus 2 Woman by Martha Peace. It is 4 parts and we will do 1 part per month and also have a craft and the last part will have a special speaker come in. I will be co-leading this study, so pray for me ;)
Yesterday was a day of errands. One errand was to go to the Sprint store to get a new phone. Mine gets burning hot after a couple of minutes. Not a good sign! Plus there was no speaker phone. I qualified for an upgrade so I ended up with the Lotus.
They had it in red, but TJ wanted me to get purple. I love purple as much as red, so I went for it. It has a full keypad, so I am getting use to that. My older kids text me a lot.Rachel, TJ and Emerson went with and they were so good. TJ got a slushy and sat patiently. Hey, my old van doesn't look too bad!Emerson watched the whole process from her seat. She started getting vocal with some happy squeals and gagged herself just as I snapped a picture!!!!
She was fine. Along with upgrading my phone I had the girl look at my plan. I have 5 phones on my plan....Sweetheart, me, Kyle, Bud and Rachel. Kyle, Bud and Rachel all pay their portion of the bill. Still we have a very HIGH bill. The girl was shocked and said there was no reason it was so high. She rearranged things and we ended up with 700 more daytime minutes, unlimited texting on all phones, and we saved about $100 a month! I learned that if you add things after you choose your plan it costs more! All in all it was a productive day!
We even made chocolate chip cookies!Oh, I almost forgot....this picture is for you Niki!!!! TJ had a pancake with some of Niki's pure maple syrup. He LOVED it!! Thumbs up!I took the grandkids home after the Sprint store and relaxed for a while. After dinner the whole family headed to the first Pine Grove Church softball game. It was a blast!!!All of my older kids are on the team (we actually have 2 teams, but my kids are on the 1st one) Poor Zach wanted to play so bad. Sorry Buddy....you have a few years yet.
Kyle played catcher and was a great batter.....He hit the ball and was out at first, but that hit brought in 2 runs, so he was happy!Bud played shortstop and hit every ball pitched to him. He smacks them way out into center and left field!Rachel played right field. She is a great hitter too!!!And she has fun!!!!She smacked that ball and made it to first! She eventually made it home and scored at least a couple of runs this game!
Charlotte and Grace kept an eye on the little kids at the playground which was only a few yards away.Everyone had a great time and we beat Riverside Assembly 16-8 WOO HOO!!! I am looking forward to next Tuesday night. We have a double header!!!
Today, I plan to work around here and maybe get some time at my machine. I have 2 quilts to get done by Christmas and I need to focus!!! Plus I would like to make up a little Mother's Day surprise and today is the day I would need to do that!
Have a productive Wednesday yourself and thanks for visiting!

Emerson looks like she's singing in the one you say she is choking.
Great time of togetherness at the ball field.
No games here. It has been raining for days and days and days.

You have such a beautiful family, Bren. You all seem to love each other very much!

And, I can't believe you are thinking about CHRISTMAS already! Yikes!

I like the idea of a once-a-month Bible study, in 4 parts over the summer. I may mention that to my husband and see what he thinks we could do with our ladies!

Bren~ Wow 50 chapters that's a lot. The new study sounds like a good book. Sounds like you have been busy, busy... I love the phone but I would have gotten red though purple is also one of my favorite colors. Very nice that you can go and spend time with your family at the ball games.
Blessings,Joann
