It is no secret that I rarely do my Tackle It Tuesday on an actual Tuesday. If I did, it would not get posted til Wednesday. Most of the time my tackles are done on Monday. CoppersWife had me totally inspired to do my kitchen cabinet fronts. After all, I have pretty much tackled the inside of everyone of them recently. Then Ann posted about her family cleaning out the wood stove/fireplace in preparation for winter. Hmmmm, my fireplace is in need of attention soon too. Which one to choose.... To be honest I chose neither. I am fighting a horrible cold and just did not feel like it. So, I thought I would post another tackle. This one was done over the weekend and you may think it terrible that I refer to it as a tackle. After all, a tackle is something you don't really want to do, but you know it needs to be done, right? Wrong. To me, a tackle is something I know I need to do, but other things keep getting in the way and so this special task requires this weekly post in order to make it a priority. My definition of Tackle It Tuesday really does not help my case here. You will probably still think it terrible.
Blessings, Bren

I just read the post you linked to. I think baking pies was way more important than anything else!! Give Charlotte a hug for me. (((hugs)))
Mmmm... And your tackle turned out to be tasty AND time well spent!!
That pie looks fantastic! Tell Charlotte I want a piece. *wink*
Blessings, Beckie :o)
Definately time well spent, tell Charlotte it's so nice to see her smiling face. Sorry to hear about your cold. I woke up to a pea soup fog this morning.
I read your Face of Trauma post and I think baking pies was more important than any other possible tackle you could have thought up. God bless you for what you are doing for beautiful Charlotte!
That was nice, my husbands favorite pie is pumpkin pie, maybe I will bake a pie today :-)
I am up here Tackle It Tuesday
I have not read the book - and the pie looks terrific! That was probably the best 'tackle' you've had - spending time with Charolette!
I've awarded you with a bloggy award! Come on over and pick it up! This post is yet another reason you deserve this award!
Pumpkin pie and daughter time - that sounds like a great Tackle It Tuesday project to me! Sounds like you had some great bonding time that had results for the whole family to enjoy!
WTG Charlotte -- the pie looks delicious! And what a nice smile!
Yum! Please save me a piece! It was fun watching her work. I wondered if any of Zach's piece hit the floor? He looks like he 'tackled' it!
Mommy time looks to have been very successful! Charlotte looks so pleased with the pie. And Zach was happy to help out with the finished project, too. Hope you are feeling better very soon, Bren.
mmmm. Looks like time well spent. My almost 2 year old cracked her first egg yesterday. She loves helping me in the kitchen; we'll be learning to cook together. :-)
Charlotte looks so sweet making the pie!
Spoil yourself till you are over your cold.
What a lovely pumpkin pie Charlotte made!
I want the Charlotte's pie that looks very good.
A kiss Charlotte.

The pie looks great. I found your blog and will be stopping by again. Very nice.
What a beautiful set of pictures! They really made me smile.
I loved to see Charlotte in her vintage apron baking pies and her little brother looks as though he is really enjoying them too.
yah for mommy & Charlotte time! I'm hungry now for pumpkin pie!
I love your pictures!
I am thrilled you shared your pie baking with us! Charlotte looks so proud!
Charlotte´s pie really looks good, she is like a grown up, baking pies :)
We are studying Martha Peace's book Becoming a Titus 2 Woman. Let me tell you, I am always encouraged when I visit you on your blog and though you are just someone I've "met" over the internet, I would consider you "my" Titus 2 woman. I don't know how you do all the things that you do, but I'm sure it is all by God's strength! Thank you!
What you did for Charlotte by giving her that Mommy time will just mean the world to her! Great job!!! Those pies look awesome!
I think Mommy time and pumpkin pie was the best thing you could have done. Tackling things you know are difficult for you -- and turning it into a positive experience. Brava.
