Where Are The Parents?

We have all seen these images. Children in danger with a guardian angel to protect them. I want to know, WHERE ARE THEIR PARENTS??? Why are they out crossing a bridge that has gapping holes in it? Why are these young children hanging from the side of this cliff? They look cared for, but where are their parents? And this child can not be more than 4. Am I missing the point of the picture? Another cliff.... Another dangerous bridge. Is this child blind? Where is her mother??? It is dark outside!Again, I see not one of these children as being more than 5 or 6 years old. I know, I know...it is art work that reflects God's protection. I still have a problem with it. God put parents in a place to keep their children safe. When I look at these beautiful images, I do miss the point...all I see is a neglected child. A child who needs to be protected, not from the cliff or the tattered narrow bridge, but from the parents who are absent. And children who do have caring parents, still get God's protection. They are doubly safe!!

you know what? I've never seen pictures like these...ever...but I agree where are the parents? Do they symbolize God's protection of children??? or maybe I just don't get it.
On another note, I absolutely love your Blog title picture of those stones, the color and texture really appeal to me..where did you get it?

How funny!! My friend, husband and I always talk about this with movies too. To make it entertaining, the parents are always absentee! At least one of them anyways. Very sad, but very true! I know this wasn't a humorous post, but it did make me laugh out loud, just at how silly it all really is....

AMEN!It makes me think, this generation seem to be SATURATED with children walking around unsupervised. This whole generation seems to largely be too busy to watch their children! Too busy do what? From what I have seen, they are often too busy playing themselves!!! We don't have parents and children anymore, we have tall children and short children! It didn't used to be that way! The past few generations have largly abandoned training up their children and given heed to the "just let them play! Let them be children!" mentality. Problem with that is, children were having so much fun being children, they never learned how to be an adult! Now they have children when they are mostly children themselves!! If so now we have children raising children, what will happen when these child raised children have children? I know I'm getting a bit off topic, but I agree WHERE ARE THE ADULTS??? They are becoming an endangered species!
