Whew!!!

That picture says it all! It has been such an exciting week, but getting back into our routine is welcome. Today I did get quite a bit done, and still was able to spend some time with my grandkids.
I think I did 7 loads of laundry.Tomorrow I will wash bathroom rugs and clean the floors. Today I did the kitchen and laundry room floor on my hands and knees. I got all around the edges, where a mop actually pushes the dirt. It was not awful...ok, well it really was awful, but now it is not!I cleaned as far under the appliances as I could get, but they need to be pulled out. I took the bottom grate off the frig and used Hazel (my vacuum) and her attachments to suck all the dust out....I FREAKED when a HUGE BUG clogged the end of the hose attachment. I think my heart actually skipped a beat! It ended up being one of Zachary's plastic bugs! YEESH!!! Anyway, it feels good to have a clean home again...well what I got to today is clean.
I baked cookies and made a big dinner for Bud and Rachel. BBQ Country Style Ribs, baked potatoes, mac and cheese, and corn. They all went home full!!!
Next week we are back to school. We took the week off, knowing not much would get accomplished with TJ here full time and then a new baby to cuddle. Bud goes back to work on Monday. I was thinking the other night about how hard it might be for Rachel...a 3 year old and a newborn, but then I remembered...my daughter (in law) took a newborn baby into her home when TJ was only 18 months old. She took care of him day and night for 6 months and he was terribly addicted to crack cocaine. She got him through it (the tremors, constant crying, and constant need to be held) and he thrived in her care. TJ also, did not lack for time or attention. This will seem like a cake walk for her!!
I can not end this post without an Emerson picture...Bud and Rachel have my camera, so I will show you her "official" pic from the hospital. She is backdropped by Niki's afghan. Maybe her quilt will be done in time for her 1st birthday!!! JUST KIDDING...I only have 3 more blocks to go!
Have a blessed weekend!!!!

I so remember being a new mother of my daughter. I felt like pinching myself every day, after having 2 sons.

Emerson is such a little doll. Please give her a little cuddle for me.

Awwww... precious little girl! Can't wait to see what the quilt will look like when you're done! I'm finishing up the blocks for our group quilt and then it will be on to the one you so kindly sent! Can't wait!

Emerson is just precious! I think she looks like TJ a little!:) I can sympathize with you on the bug... when I worked at a daycare center, we had a big tub of huge plastic bugs, and I would find them everywhere! They would scare me to death! Rachel is such a great mother... I know she will have many jewels on her crown in Heaven!
