The Simple Woman's Daybook

The Simple Woman's Daybook
April 21, 2008

Outside my window....the sun is shining, birds are singing and the day promises to be beautiful. Temps will be in the mid 70's

I am thinking....about our school week. After an entire week off, will it be easy to get back in our routine?

I am thankful for....my husband. (I know I have said it before)

From the kitchen....the dishwasher is emptied, coffee is ready (though 1/2 gone), meat is thawing for tonight's first official cook out of the year! Homemade macaroni salad is also on the menu!

I am creating....my 4 season swap and 9-patches...also cut a baby quilt, and planning several table runners.

I am going....to have a day at home...maybe even a week at home!

I am wearing....blue jeans, a green tank top, and my new slides.

I am reading....Becoming a Titus 2 Woman by Martha Peace

I am hoping.... to be able to begin a study with my neighbor.

I am hearing....birds singing outside my window. Everything else is quiet.

Around the house....children are sleeping in (it is 8:00), Sweetheart is getting ready for work, Kyle has left for his job. Monday's morning routines are done, and the dailies are waiting for me.

One of my favorite things....is to hear TJ say those words, "hey Grandma!, hey, hey, Grandma come here."

A few plans for the rest of the week....school, and play for the kids. I plan to get some serious sewing time in since the weather is nice. Rachel and TJ will be over alot, as TJ loves to play outside with the kids. Sweetheart does not have a day off all week and will be working late so I plan to make special dinners for him.

Picture thought I am sharing... To visit more daybooks, or to add your own, visit The Simple Woman.

Only 8:00 and you've already accomplished so much. Sounds like you'll have a busy week.
I think you must be a morning person. Its 8:00 on Tuesday morning and I am finishing my second cup of coffee with smokey on my lap. I have on jammies and a robe and I've done nothing yet. My mornings are much slower.
