The Simple Woman's Daybook

The Simple Woman's Daybook
April 14, 2008

Outside my window....The sun is shining brightly and the birds are singing in tune.

I am thinking....that in less than 24 hours I will be leaving on my trip. The excitment is huge!

I am thankful for....My Dad who is funding the entire trip for me and my mom. Thank you Dad!

From the kitchen....coffee is hot in the pot and Kyle's lunch sits ready to go with him to work. The dishwasher is full of clean dishes. It is quiet, but soon, breakfast cereal and milk will be flowing freely!

I am creating....itty bitty, teeney tiny, half square triangles. I think I am out of my mind!!!

I am going....to prepare my home for 2 days without me. Easy meals for Sweetheart to fix and clean laundry for everyone.

I am wearing....my gown and favorite purple fluffy robe.

I am reading....Becoming a Titus 2 Woman by Martha Peace

I am hoping....and praying that Kyle's cough will get better soon.

I am hearing....Kyle coughing (he is very dramatic in his cough)

Around the house....little kids are still sleeping, Kyle is about ready to leave for work, Sweetheart is preparing to go to his job, and I am planning our day here.

One of my favorite things....is to sew with Charlotte. She has been "creating" doll clothing and also piecing the rows to her little quilt. Only one more row to go.

A few plans for the rest of the week....RELAX, finish my 4 seasons swap quilt and get it in the mail by weeks end (it is more detailed than I thought), RELAX, enjoy the sights and attractions of Galena, RELAX, pick up a bridal shower gift, RELAX, spend some time with Rachel and TJ, RELAX!

Picture thought I am sharing.....
