The Simple Woman's Daybook

Peggy at "The Simple Woman" is hosting a brand new Monday meme. I have participated in a few weekly meme's, faithfully to Tackle It Tuesday. I do not want to overload myself on these...there are dozens a day out there in blogland, but I have tackled about all there is to tackle and have decided to take part in this Simple meme on Mondays. I will still tackle, but not every Tuesday. This daybook will actually be a challenge and learning process for me. It takes few words and only ONE picture. A post from me with simple words, and only one picture??? Yes, I am willing to try it. Here is what Peggy says about doing the daybook...

"Now you can share with others a little look into your day plans and thoughts while you are focusing on the simplicity of the everyday moments around you. That is my vision for this idea! Slow down, take time and enjoy the moment...the day."
Please join in!! This will be such fun! You can visit other daybooks and link your own by going here.

So without further ado, here is my

Simple Woman's Daybook
April 7, 2008

Outside my window....I can see the wind moving the trees and what looks like rain clouds moving in. The howl is deep.

I am thinking....of the challenge of sharing my thoughts in such a simplistic way. Hmmmm.

I am thankful for....my husband, who works so hard inside and outside of our home.

From the kitchen....swiss steak is cooking in the crockpot for tonight's dinner. Breakfast dishes are waiting to be placed in the dishwasher, and my binder is open on the counter to remind me of this weeks focus cleaning.

I am creating....visions of my 4 seasons swap quilt. By weeks end it will be a reality.

I am going....to spend the morning home schooling and the evening with my family.

I am wearing....my favorite blue jean skirt, tights, a pink tank top, a black sweater (easy layers for power surge moments) and my black crocs.

I am reading...Titus 2:3-5 in every version I can find.

I am hoping....that God's refining fire will not get too hot while I study this.

I am hearing....silence. It is only for this moment....ok, it is gone now. I hear children talking.

Around the house....laundry is going, beds are made, coffee is gone, children are figuring math problems, and there is peace.

One of my favorite things....is the smell of the lavender, chamomile, and ylang ylang body lotion that fills the room right now.

A few plans for the rest of the week.....a friend coming for dinner tomorrow, some planned sewing time, babysitting for my grandson while the doctor checks my new grand baby, more blood work for Kyle, and what ever else pops up.

Picture thought I am sharing....hug your children.
