Weekend Happenings

We spent our Saturday out. I am almost always at home on Saturday, but TJ needed new shoes and Rachel needed to try on some "essentials" which would have been impossible without my helping to watch TJ. So we went to the mall!!! I detest the mall, but it really was not bad. I picked up some magazines for my trip next week. Not one quilting magazine (I have 100's of them) but there are some wonderful quilts in the Mary Engelbreit Home Companion. They will be magazines my mom will enjoy too. I also plan to have my 4 Season Swap to take with me for some hand quilting...I may machine quilt it, I just have not decided yet. At any rate, my mom will probably fall asleep quite early (after Idol) and I may mosey down to the lobby and do some hand quilting. Look at the lobby where we will be staying... I love lobbies! Don't ask me why, because I don't know.

I am spending Sunday and Monday getting everything set up for me to be gone for 2 days. Sweetheart is taking those days off to be here for the kids. They will not have school those days and the weather will be glorious, so I am sure some yard work will get done while I am gone. I watered plants this morning and one of my plants looked odd. Upon closer inspection it seems "someone" decided to prune this plant and shove the trimmings back into the pot! Here is that "someone"..... "Mr. Innocent"! This little "Chick Magnet" as his chicken shirt declares, also threw one of my house phones in the toilet, and last night when I turned the garbage disposal on, a hot wheels car had somehow found it's way in there....hmmmmm....not that innocent faced little guy who seems to be minding his own business!!! He looks wiped out tired in that picture...now we know why!

Well I need to get moving if I am going to have time to sew today. I wanted to share a close up of the GORGEOUS nest on the cover of the Martha Stewart Living magazine. It is made with fresh pussy willows. There are directions for making several "nests" and birdies in this magazine, but this one by far is my favorite. Incredible!!! Tomorrow is The Simple Woman's Daybook. Try to join in!

Oh you'll have such a good time! TJ's antics are so typical aren't they? The hot wheel car made me smile.
Blessings,

It looks like you are going to have such a fantastic time on your trip! I'm looking forward to your posts about it. It sounds like TJ is getting into just enough trouble to keep things insteresting!
