I had such a wonderful time with Sue today. We did not get any quilting done, but had a blast anyway. Her daughter Rachel drove her here to get some hours in on her driving permit. Sue has 6 of the best kids in the world, I'll tell ya!! Rachel watched my 2 little ones and Sue's 2 little ones while we went to the store and grabbed lunch, which we brought home to share. Zach was thrilled to see his "best friend, Lucas"! They are 1 day shy of 1 year apart in age. Sue had her first baby almost 21 years ago, after I had my last! I never would have thought we would have kids close to the same age after Joshua and Kyle. God knew better. AND, my grandson is close to the same age as Ruthie. Here is Sue's 3rd child, Rachel (the new driver) holding baby Ruthie...who is no longer a baby at 3 years old. She is smart as a whip and can sign (language) like nobodys business! Of course we needed a pic with Charlotte in there. The kids all had such fun!
And look what she brought me... No...she did make all of these, though I could choose only 12...I really loved them ALL, and had requested an extra 12 as a purchase for gifts. (My DIL Rachel came by and she already got 6 of them!) So I choose 24 in total!
In return for my 12, I made Sue a Home Management Binder at her request. It was a great trade! We spent a small part of our time together putting her binder together just the way she would use it. A HMB is a very personal thing! She was quite pleased with it...a gorgeous red binder to match her kitchen...and I was thrilled!
I just LOVE it!! Thank you Hannah. Let me know when you get yours...it is on its way!
