Prayers For Kyle

Here is a pic of Kyle on our fishing trip last summer. Kyle had a rough day today. Not quite sure what happened, but he came upstairs (2 flights, as his bedroom is in the basement) and either fainted or had a seizure. I was in the shower, but Sweet Hubby got to him. If it was a seizure, it was mild, though he dropped. His forehead and nose hit the carpet and he had a pretty bad bloody nose. He has a big rug burn on his forehead. It was very scary. By the time I got to him, he was standing up and look disoriented. I got him to the closest chair and had him sit down. He looked half asleep still, though when asked what day is it he replied in a foggy voice "the 16th". I had to think about it because I was not sure...I was looking for "Sunday". He finally came around and I put him in my bed. Sweet Hubby stayed with him and we got him some breakfast. He ended up not eating as his stomach got bad and he threw up a small amount of blood...I am sure from his nose. We decided to take him into the ER to be checked over. HOURS later, we still do not know what happened. Low blood sugar, a seizure (he has been seizure free since age 12), or getting up to quickly and then running up 2 flights of stairs....I will call his doctor tomorrow. Prayers are coveted. I did find out he has been watching video games...these can cause seizures and he claims he did not play them, but only watched. Well, good grief...it is the same thing. Whatever it was, I pray it does not happen again, and I am SO thankful that his head did not hit the rail or that he did not fall down the stairs. God had His hand of protection ready. I am emotionally drained and in case you have not caught on by now, I am the kind of Mom that hovers. I plan to use the blow up mattress and let Kyle sleep in my room until we see the doctor. Thank you for your prayers.

Bren, I am so SO sorry that this happened today. I'm glad he's recovering relatively well.

I know you must be reeling in your mind, wondering if it was a seizure. Listen - what God does, He does well!!! If God has healed him, he IS healed! There can be a myriad of other things going on, so we'll just believe it was something else. I'll be praying that you can get an ANSWER, because I know the NOT knowing is the hardest thing!

I am praying, dear friend. And you are not a "hoverer" - you are just a careful mom. Those are the BEST kind!!!

The verse we're using now is Jeremiah 33:3 - "Call unto me, and I will answer thee' and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not."

I will be happy to pray for Kyle and for wisdom and understanding of what is going on and what can be done to 'stop it' from going on any more. Peace, to you- put your Trust in God and know that He loves Kyle more than you do.

Oh, Bren!!! Reading this just now, quite late on Sunday evening, but bathing you and sweet Kyle in prayer!

You know what? There's nothing wrong with a hovering mom. God lets us know when to hover and when to back off, and hovering today was totally appropriate!
