Sewing Sunday

Since I have been feeling ill, I have not necessarily taken a "sick day", but I have rested more than usual. Today I was feeling better. My voice came back sometime yesterday and I have felt more energy, though not my 100%. Anyway, I am on the mend. Poor TJ on the other hand spiked a 104* F temp. We were able to get it down to almost normal in an hour with Motrin, though he is coughing and has a nasty nose. I am sure Rachel will be taking him to see his Doctor in the morning. Please say a little prayer for him if you could.

Look at who I spent my day with....
Aren't they gorgeous! Such pretty girls...and sweet too!! While spending my Sunday in my sparkling clean sewing room, I noticed my pins were depleted... I managed to find more in my other pincushions, but there were still MANY unaccounted for. I began to look and found this... It is Kyle's teacher's quilt. It was in the closet, under home school supplies, and had the binding all pinned on. MANY pins. I decided since my walking foot was on my machine anyways, I would sew it on. Now, this evening I will put the back on by hand. We are seeing Teresa (Kyle's teacher) on the 20th for a Christmas party he was invited to, so he can present it to her there. So glad I needed pins! I will be sharing what my new "girlfriends" and I did at a later date...like after Christmas ;)

It is a good thing you needed pins. I'm glad to hear you're feeling better.

I have a photo similar to your coffee cup, only mine is cream in the coffee. I'll have to show it on my blog sometime.

Glad to hear you are getting better. It is really hard to sew without pins. I am happy you found them and even happier that you have one more project off your shoulders. Enjoy your evening.

You left us such a teaser - do we have to wait until after Christmas to see what you and your new girlfriends were up to on Sunday? I'm glad you are feeling better and I trust TJ is on his way to recovery too.
