Before I post on Living Well, I have a wonderful announcement to make. Copperswife has put up the Introduction to Homemaking section of her website. I have been waiting VERY patiently and it is finally happening. This lady KNOWS how to run a home. She does it happily and efficiently. I was very honored that she linked back to my binder, though I am still a work in progress. I look forward to making the necessary changes in my binder with the knowledge I glean from these articles. She has put much work into these articles and I hope you will stop over and give them a read. Grab a cup of tea first and you will feel like you are sitting with a friend. So here is my weight loss update. I lost 1 pound this week. I am not at all happy about that, but understand why. I want to lose 2-3 pounds per week. I do not have my treadmill up, so I have done zero exercise...though I could do a walking DVD. I plan to go for a consultation this week at the Cevene Clinic. They have a weight loss program there (no meds). I will continue to do Body For Life, but can use the facilities for workout and have massages and chiropractic adjustments. WOOHOO! I have never had a massage. I really want to get my perimenopause under control. The hot flashes are horrible, but thank goodness it is winter!!! Here is some of what I ate this past week. The McDonald's was on my free day (though the chocolate turtles not pictured were not). You can read about the program I am doing on Angie's new blog Doing It For Life. Another wonderful woman who is putting alot of hard work into posting only for the success of others!!! I hope you all get that. Copperswife does not need to post about Homemaking or building a heritage library, nor does Angie have to post about the program she knows like the back of her hand. They do it so others can succeed in life. I for one am very appreciative of them, along with the others out there sharing what makes them successful!

I wish you all the best for your weight loss/exercise goal. I am slowly working thorough mine.
Hey don't knock the one pound! That is great...one to two pounds a week of weight loss is normal!
I lost 65 lb back in 2004/05 and did it by diet and exercise. Many of your food choices look very familiar to me.
I just wish after all that hard work that you could lock the door on the weight and throw away the key. Unfortunately for me, I slowly quit doing my regime and back it came...urggg!
I know I need to get a new treadmill and start all over again....sigh!!
Hi Bren,
I wish you the Best with your wt. loss. I too get discouraged when trying to lose, but we must remember we didn't put it on over night so we can't take it off over night. Or at least I tell myself that.lol
Hope you have a great day.
Blessins', Lib
It looks as though you ate very healthy this week, Bren! Keep up the good work. I love the Walk Away the Pounds DVDs. I also have a Gazelle machine. I push it in front of the television and 30 minutes pass in a flash! I am praying for you!
Hey Bren, 1 lb. loss is better then no loss and even better then a gain!
That one pound is now behind you. It's a step in the right direction! Good for you!
