The washer is running, the beds are made, showers done, big guys off to work, and little people doing math. A great start to the day!!! Zach had some trouble getting going...look at this yawn! But, he got his test out of the way and is working diligently on his lesson. Charlotte too, is working hard. She got through "problem solving" with no assistance for the second time this year! Problem solving is very difficult for her. It requires the use of the part of her brain that is not all the way plugged in...very common in neglected kids. Just knowing this makes a difference in the frustration levels. Understanding is key with these kids. She was very proud of the fact that she "worked it out"...her words. Both of my kids get a schedule every Monday. This tells them what is required and helps me to know what needs to be pulled and put into their "to do" folders. Wednesday we have Co-op with some neighboring home schoolers. Yesterday we played Math Jingo (like bingo) and Food Jingo...they also enjoyed a game of Trouble. For 1st graders this is a great game for counting, sportsmanship, and logistics. Zach likes to get all his pieces "home" at once! He has to plan this out perfectly and not get sent back! When it works out, he is thrilled!
Blessings, Bren

Isn't Keepsake Quilting so awesome to get?! I hardly ever order anything, but oh the possibilities :)
Isn't it nice when you have a Hubby who is good with his hands? It saves you thousands!!!
Great job with the mirror in the bathroom! The wall trimming sure does give it a finished look! And I really like the Taupe color for the walls!
This is silly, but my favorite room in my house is our bathroom. The walls are a baby blue color with a cabbage color for the ceiling...The flooring is a deep blue ceramic tile...We have all natural wood trimming...And a great natural colored ceramic tiled bath area...Then, everything is accented by pink/red. The pink/red accent just brings everything together...I should do a post on my bathroom one day and tag it My Favorite Things...
Anyway, thanks for letting me blab...Thanks for sharing your day and schedule. Hope the read was relaxing...
i realy think you are supper mom.CAn you come and mentor me?

The bathroom looks great, nothing like fresh paint etc. esp in the bath or kitchen
Have a wonderful evening

The bathroom looks great!
I love the Keepsake Quilting catalogue but only to look at as it seems expensive compared to some of the other online websites I like to visit.
I also love the Hancock's of Paducah cataloge. Now that one really makes me drool and I do order quite a lot from them.
You have such good kids Bren. You are doing an amazing job with them.
I love seeing the children doing their schoolwork! :) I love what you are doing with the bathroom too! Congratulations on 200 posts!! In Christ, Karen T.
Looks like some industrious kids there! Mine are all exhausted from ski school yesterday.
